This is the place where you realize that you didn't simply submit an essay for an anthology--you chose to tell your story with even more courage and abandon than you ever thought possible. And then you did. In the company of other writers of great integrity and depth who were doing the same.

This is the space where you discover potential friends among the list of contributors--true kindred spirits who value truth-telling, crave collaboration. Ordinary human beings who are eager to meet all the other writers climbing out from behind their paper-strewn desks.

Of course, before any of this magic can happen, we have to find you and accept your brilliant essay for Shiny Blue You: Stories to Change Our World, but surely that's only a matter of time. In the meantime, we're determined to create the kind of community where your story can flourish.
